CASTING NOTICE

THANK YOU ALL for working so hard during the casting process and CONGRATULATIONS to all who have been assigned a role in the show!    For those who have not been offered a spot at this time, you’re automatically on a waiting list in case a spot turns up (and that’s pretty common).  Read on for some important information you’ll need to know!


1.     All cast member and crew chiefs – please sign by your name on the cast list that will be posted on the theatre callboard in the music hallway, indicating you ACCEPT  your role or job.  In order to DECLINE  a job or role, please see  Mr. Smeallie in person immediately – others may be waiting to fill the role or job that you vacate.

2.     CONTRACTS and RESUMES should be in.  If you haven’t updated your resume for the spring, please do so before you leave for Winter Break.  Contracts for Crew Chiefs and Cast Members are due at the first read – through, which will be…..

3.     Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 6pm in the auditorium.  All cast  members and crew chiefs are expected to attend the full rehearsal.

4.     CONFLICTS – we have a short period of time to prepare the show – accurate conflict reporting is CRITICAL to develop the schedule.  All cast members and crew chiefs should update their CONFLICTS on VSM ASAP, but not later than December 30.


5.     SCRIPTS – the ten PRINCIPAL characters (Chad, Dennis, Jim, Dean, Earl, Matilda, Lorraine, Sylvia, Sandra, Natalie)  should pick up a script BEFORE leaving for break – please come by the choral room at lunch.  Ensemble scripts/scores will be distributed after break.

6.     SHOWREADY -  in the near future you’ll receive an email giving you a link to the download of an app called showready – a rehearsal aid that will help you learn your music.  Please install it on a home computer that you can use for practice, and then use it!

7.     No determination has been made as to featured dancer status or assignment to specific ensemble parts of songs. Ensemble assignments will be made as soon as possible after rehearsal begin.


8.     CREW ACTIVITIES will start up after break – watch VSM for notifications.

9.     FEEDBACK – if you’d like any specific feedback on your audition, please email Mr. Smeallie at einsteinstage@comcast.net - I’ll try to get back to you with some ideas as soon as possible.
